Kalakand

Dish of the Day:





Ingredients :    1 cup Ricotta Cheese, 1/4 cup Butter,4 cups Milk,1 cup of sugar and chopped Almond



Procedure:  Take a sauce pan on stove with medium flame. Add butter and melt it. Now add ricotta cheese and mix with spatula immediately. Pour milk into it and mix with regular intervals for sometime. While mixing add sugar to it. Do not turnoff the stove untill milk evapourates. When  the milk becomes thick turn off the stove and transfer the kova into moulds or a tray and cut into pieces. Now garnish with chopped almonds.




Slice it with a knife and serve



Tip of the day:
To remove the skin of almonds easily, soak them in hot water for 15-20 minutes.

Veg Bread Sandwich

Dish of the Day:







Ingredients: 4 Bread Slices, 1 cup of finely chopped carrot sticks,1 cup of finely chopped beans,1/4 cup of green peas, 1/2 cup of chopped onions,1 cup of chopped capsicum, 2 chopped chillies, 1/2 cup of tomatoes, 1tsp jeera,salt,chilly powder,1tsp chat masala and chopped coriander


 

Procedure:


                 Take a pan on stove and add some oil. Put jeera in it. Now add onions and fry it until it becomes soft.Add tomatoes and fry for some time. Now add all the chopped vegetables, salt and chilly powder. Close the lid and cook them until soft.Now add chat masala and mix it well.Add corriander, it will become nice veg curry.


Now toast all bread slices either in toaster or on a dosa pan.Spread the curry on one bread slice and  close it with another slice. Now it became a veg sandwich.







Tip of the day:


 If you keep a piece of blotting paper at the bottom of the container, it will keep biscuits fresh for a longer time.
